Sydney’s favourite harbourside music event is on again this June long weekend! Sit back and relax or lace up your dancing shoes and enjoy a feast of jazz and blues from big band swing and funky jazz to delta blues and hip-hop.
Performers
James Morrison and Deni Hines
World-renowned Australian jazz trumpeter, James Morrison, and leading soul/R&B singer, Deni Hines, will perform tracks from their latest album including classics from Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday and Nina Simone.
CW Stoneking
The legendary king of hokum blues, CW Stoneking uses his musicianship, stagecraft, and humour to invoke the spirit of 1920s southern blues in his original style.
Katie Noonan
Noonan, who will perform with her band Elixir, has topped both the pop and jazz charts and blown away opera fanatics with her extraordinary voice. 
The Bamboos
This six-piece Australian funk outfit has been described as “the best new Deep Funk band in the world today”.
The Backsliders
This group with more than 20 years experience will play everything from ‘amped up’ original blues to all–acoustic unplugged ‘way down south’ delta blues.
Doc Span
This legendary US-born harmonica player extraordinaire delivers his own style of highly-charged blues.
The catholics
This award-winning seven-piece ensemble is one of Australia's most popular jazz acts.
Carl Riseley
A former Australian Idol contestant, swing and jazz vocalist Carl Riseley will be backed by Royal Australian Navy big band.

This popular, young R&B band play a powerful blend of soulful roots and blues.

d.i.g. Directions In Groove
Call it acid jazz, jazz funk or just great grooving music, d.i.g produce a level of excitement that is rarely replicated.

Chinese Garden of Friendship
Soak up the mellow sounds of the Jim Pennell Trio at the tranquil Chinese Garden of Freindship.
This superb trio features Pennell’s virtuoso acoustic guitar talents accompanied by vibraphone and double bass.
The trio will play an eclectic blend of classical, jazz and swing musical genres at this enchanting natural oasis – the perfect way to enjoy an intimate afternoon.
Everyday 11am – 2pm.

Judy Bailey
An informative session with one of Australia’s most experienced Jazz educators. Bailey lectures in jazz studies at the NSW Conservatorium of Music and has mentored many young musicians including James Morrison. This workshop will offer an opportunity for all aspiring jazz players to advance their knowledge.

John Morrison
Morrison will present two must see workshops for the young, and the young at heart covering the origins and fundamentals of swing and an open session covering the tricks and tips to surviving as a professional jazz musician. These classes will benefit players of all genres at all levels.

Peter Bishop
This gifted multi-instrumentalist and song writer has more than 25 years industry experience. Bishop’s first workshop will discuss and demonstrate the importance of choosing the right repertoire, preparation and stagecraft; the second will cover song writing techniques.
